Flu Shots at Ocean County Health Department

The county health department has another round of   appointments available, every Thursday in January from 3 to 6 p.m. at the county health department.

Director Gerry P. Little is urging all residents over the age of 6 months to get seasonal flu shots. The Ocean County Health Department will be offering shots every Thursday during the month of January (Jan 5, 12, 19, 26) from 3 to 6 p.m. at its main headquarters at 175 Sunset Avenue, Toms River.

Little said that he recommends using the sessions for children under age of 5 who attend a licensed childcare center or preschool facility to get their mandatory shot. If not, children may be excluded from the facility.
