Big Lots Eyes a Mid-September Open Date

Forty-five new jobs added to the community

Barnegat Township's Deputy Mayor Albert Billie and Committeeman Jeffrey Melchiondo announced Big Lots, a nationwide closeout retailer, have tentatively scheduled the grand opening of their new Barnegat location on Sept. 14.

Big Lots will be located in the old A&P supermarket on Route 9 just north of Barnegat Boulevard.

Melchiondo said the store will offer an assortment of discounted merchandise including, furniture, housewares, bedding and toys.

Big Lots carries brand-name closeout brands and other items including consumable items, seasonal products, furniture, housewares, toys and gifts.

According to officials with Big Lots, the ribbon cutting ceremony is slated for 9 a.m., and will featured the presentation of a $2,500 to the Barnegat High School.

Most importantly, Big Lots has brought 45 new jobs to the community, said Billie.

So, therefore you shouldn't even apply for a job there? Maybe it isn't a career plan, but it would be a good job for high school or college age people or people looking to pick up a few extra bucks.

BTW, If you filled out a job application the way you wrote that run-on sentence you mostly would not get the job.
