Lester Glenn Makes Fall Plans to Renovate
Toms River new and used car dealer, Lester Glenn, plans expansions and additions that may affect local residents
Lester Glenn was approved for an additional 50 feet of parked car spaces that will lead up to the neighborhood households behind the lot at the monthly Toms River Planning Board Meeting and is before the board again tonight.
This Lester Glenn proposal was smaller compared to the expansion proposal they made in 2005. This renovation will be 200 square feet addition to the property on the residential side.
In addition to the new parking spaces, Lester Glenn is revamping the entrance to make it handicap accessible.

Customer service and salesman trailers will be used during the construction period, but must be approved by fire department before installation.
The possibility of sidewalks along Route 37 was discussed, but with minimal pedestrian traffic and the scenic agriculture growth, the board instead proposed Lester Glenn pay into the community fund for pedestrian safety for the manager of the fund to utilize.

presented another variance of four new signs for new and used Chevrolet, GM, Hyundai, and Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned.
The signs will be elevated above the woods to be seen from the road, but the board pointed that more signs will be difficult for drivers to discern.
The proposed variance was carried until the next planning board meeting on tonight, October 5.
