Is there a 6 O'clock PM curfew in Toms River?

Home Goods Friday night manager rude to customers with no homes! SHAME ON HER and HOME GOODS!!!

I live in Monmouth County right near Belmar which has been devesated by the storm  There are no stores open.  I traveled to the Home Goods in Toms River last night to purchase some blankets to donate to the residents of Belmar and Union Beach who are cold and hungry.  Myself and a few customers were rudely told to leave the store at 5:50 pm  The store manager seemed a bit hysterical as she told shoppers she had received a call just minutes before from the Toms River Police Department that an immediate 6:00 pm curfew was being imposed.  Some of the shoppers became a bit frightened.  In her hysteria she told us to go home and come back today.  An elderly women who seemed a bit in despair and appeard to want to purchase a small frying pan stated "I have no home."  I wanted to cry.  The store manager showed no empathy.

I politely and quietly left the store and waited outside in the cold for my husband to pick me up.  He had travel to Sleepys on Rt. 37 to purchase a matress for us to sleep on because we have been displaced by the storm. I was also going to purchase sheets for the mattress.  When he arrived to pick me up with the mattress tied to the top of the car he said he had no difficulty at Sleeps at all.  (Thank you to the Sleeps management for helping us so quickly) As we traved up Hooper ave everything was open.  The Mall the restaurants, Target, etc.  I cannot find anything on line about a 6 pm curfew.  I am starting to think this store manager just wanted to go home.  If that be the case it was rude and thoughtless.  If she was pranked by some one I am surprised she did not have the common sense to check with the other stores.  I know Toms River police have been right on top of things and if there was a curfew implemented I would expect to see it well posted on the internet and also on the NJ news.  I would like to know for future reference.  I pray the women in the Home Goods has a place to stay and wish I had had the time to ask her if there was something I could do for her.  I tried to find her outside but she was gone.  SHAME ON HOME GOODS!!!!  They should have let her take the frying pan with her I will purchase the blankets some where else
