Cape May Beaches Largely Spared by Sandy

The southern end of the Jersey Shore and the county's namesake beaches

Cape May is known for its Victorian architecture, and it's a favorite spot for bird watchers. With spots from Higbee Beach to Poverty Beach, Cape May is a beach-lovers' paradise, according to the town's visitors' website.

Like much of the county, Cape May was largely spared from the bulk of Hurricane Sandy's wrath with the county proudly exclaiming that it's not only open for business, but ready to provide visitors with the same experience as years past.

The cost of beach tags have gone up this year compared to last.
