Flood Watch Issued as Heavy Rains Expected

1 to 3 inches could be coming to area, as flood watch posted through Friday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for most of the state as forecast call for heavy rains Thursday into Friday morning.

Rainfall for Thursday has been predicted to reach one and a half to three inches, with the possibility for higher localized totals.

Thursday: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 51. Breezy, with a east wind around 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. 

Thursday Night: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 45. Windy, with a south wind between 21 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible. 

Friday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 53. South wind between 13 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
