Ocean County Grand Jury Indictments

Grand juries handed up the following indictments last week

Ocean County grand juries handed up the following indictments recently:

  • A Byram Township man is accused of assaulting another
    man in Toms River on Aug. 15, according to an Ocean County grand jury
    indictment.

    • John L. Rowe, 47, of Amity Road, Byram, is charged
    with an aggravated assault on Robert Egan. Rowe is free after being served with a summons to appear in court to answer the charge.

    • Mary E. McGee, 26, of Honeysuckle Lane, Red Bank, is accused of shoplifting clothes, a purse and accessories from the Kohl’s Department Store in Toms River on May 9.

    • Patrick J. Brennan, 35, of Dogwood Lane, Forked River, is accused of shoplifting bed sheets worth more than $200 from the Boscov’s Department Store in Toms River on April 25.
  • Two North Jersey women are accused of forging checks and theft by deception last summer in Berkeley Township. An Ocean County grand jury indicted Tashira White, 30, of East Orange, accusing her for forging a $3,218 check drawn on the account of Greco Brothers of New Jersey Inc., and passing it at a Commerce Bank branch on June 30. Keisha Richardson, 27, of Montclair, is charged with forging a $3,297 check drawn on the same account and passing it at a
    Commerce Bank branch in Berkeley on July 2. Both are in the Essex County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

    Emmanuel C. Munoz, 26, of Hazelwood Drive, Toms River,
    is accused of having a knife for an unlawful purpose on Feb. 28 in
    Ocean Gate.
  • A Toms River man is charged by an Ocean County grand
    jury with breaking into 4 cars in Manchester on Feb. 27. Aldo L. Ventiere, 31, of Marjorie Drive, is being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $25,000 for the burglary spree.

    Michael Lugo, 24, of Rogers Street, Lanoka Harbor, for stealing 2
    rings worth more than $500 from a man in Manchester on Jan. 14 and
    dealing in stolen property in Toms River between Jan. 26 and 29.

    Lauren K. Demko, 26, of Maplehurst Court, Manchester, and Morris A.
    Trebitz, 35, of Rustic Drive, Ocean Township, for stealing jewelry and
    a laptop computer from John and Mary Ann Demko between Nov.2 and Dec.
    6 in Manchester, and breaking into a home on Maplehurst Court and
    stealing an Ipod and cash from the owner on Dec. 6.
  • A Brick man was armed with a knife when he threatened to
    cut another man on Feb. 13, according to an indictment returned by an
    Ocean County grand jury. Anthony Azevedo, 26, of Sawmill Road, is accused of
    threatening Jon Andrews with the knife and having it for an unlawful
    purpose. Azevedo is free on $75,000 bail with the condition he
    have no contact with the victim.
  • Tyron M. Sanders, 19, of Asbury Park, for resisting
    arrest by Ptl. Richard Crimi and Kristopher DeMarco on March 25 in
    Brick.

    Kristofor C. VanSickle, 27, of Wyckoff Road,
    Manasquan, for breaking into a woman’s home on Herbertsville Road in
    Brick on Nov. 22.

    Vanessa Valverde, 26, of Ronald Road, Lakewood, for
    shoplifting more than $500 worth of clothes, perfumes and other
    merchandise from the Kohl’s Department Store in Brick on May 13.

    Russell H. Gehweiler Sr., address unknown, for
    stealing more than $500 from people in Point Pleasant, Sea Bright and
    Lavallette between July 22 and Sept. 24 by charging them for safe
    boating classes claiming he was a state licensed instructor when he
    had no license.

    Kyle G. Hazard, 21, of Willow Street, Point Pleasant,
    for breaking into a woman’s car there on May 4.
  • Two Lacey men are accused of breaking into a liquor
    store there on April 4 and doing more than $500 worth of damage once
    they were inside, according to an indictment voted by an Ocean County
    grand jury.

    Accused of burglary were Michael J. Cannito, 18, of
    Beach Blvd., and Benjamin J. Hunt, 20, of Briar Road. A third man,
    Kyle P. Pianetti, 19, of Briar road, is accused of criminal mischief
    for damaging the property of Lacey Liquors and downer Sal Procellini.

    Darron Garabo, 23, of Mobile Lane, Toms River, for
    conspiring to steal catalytic converters from Toyota vehicles by
    driving an unidentified co-conspirator to remove the exhaust system
    parts from two of them on Aug. 30 in Lacey.

     Two Lanoka Harbor residents and 5 people from Bayville
    for having cocaine in Lacey on Oct. 8. Carl E. Davis, 31, and Raymond
    K. Dickerson Jr., 40, both of Jacqueline Court, Lanoka Harbor; Jason
    Demko, 32, of Eisenhower Blvd., Bayville, are charged with having
    cocaine and planning to distribute it. Davis is accused of
    distributing the drug twice on Oct. 2. Charged with having the drug
    are Brendan Marr, 28, of Western Blvd.; Alphonse Stallings, 20, of
    Pine Tree Drive; Karissa A. Fleming, 21, of Princeton Avenue; and Jill
    Hernandez, 35, of Wheaton Drive, all of Bayville. Hernandez is also
    accused of having Oxycodone in Lacey on Oct. 8.
  • Anthony H. Mennicucci, 29, of Berkshire Court, Toms
    River, for having and distributing heroin Nov. 18 in Lacey.
  • John P. Kastner, 38, of Holmes Avenue, Forked River,
    for having heroin and planning to distribute it Aug. 5 in Ocean
    Township.

    Wayne J. Scheller, address unknown, for 14 counts of failing to
    legally dispose of thousand of dollars given to him by that number of
    people in Lacey between March 10 and July 1, 2008.

    Jonathan H. Ward, 29, of Cedarhurst Road, Brick, for stealing more
    than $500 by deception from a Lacey homeowner between March 30 and
    Sept. 14 by taking her deposit for home improvements and failing to do
    the work. Ward and Kevin M. Micek, 30, of Taft Drive, Brick, are
    accused of working as unregistered home improvement contractors during
    the same time.
