Possible Record Breaking Highs Today for Toms River

That’s with temperatures climbing into the high 60s today, today being Nov. 28.

The l predicts a high of 69 degrees for , according to this morning's forecast.

The record high was 68 degrees, back in 1988.

The average normal temperature range for Nov. 28 is 55 to 35 degrees.

The record low? It was 12 degrees back in 1982.

Weather Underground is reporting Toms River is among the state’s highest temperatures right now, at 66 degrees. If you want to cool off, head to Sussex, where the temperature is 39 degrees, the current state low.

And if you haven’t packed your bathing suit up either, the sea surface temperature is 55 degrees for the Ortley Beach oceanfront.

According to the National Weather Service:

Tonight: A chance of drizzle after 1 a.m. Patchy fog after 1 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Tuesday: Rain, mainly after 1 p.m. Patchy fog before 9a.m. High near 64. Southeast wind between 11 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Rain, mainly before midnight. Low around 46. Breezy, with a south wind between 15 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
