How in the world did Rivoli's get on the seafood list?
Autobosn July 23, 2012 at 08:44 PM

NONE of the above...used to be Berkeley Seafood in Silverton, but that changed hands for the worse many times since....you have to go out of Toms River for sure, what a shame for a shore town NOT to have good seafood only restaurant....Red Lobster isn't even in the running , they are bad ! Il Giardenillo is Italian but the fish served is very good ,and fresh !

How did the "Mc Fish Sandwhich" not make the list ?
Barry Fleckmann August 01, 2012 at 03:35 PM
Hey, Steve Domanski, WHERE were YOU when Toms River Patch ASKED for nominations?

Try Pisces. It is very good, but also very small. They sell fresh fish and have the restaurant.

There aren't any good restaurants in Toms River at all.
Kelly August 01, 2012 at 10:08 PM
Not True! Serenity Cafe, Xina and Pisces are all excellent.

Bum Rogers is in Toms River? That said, agreed...there are absolutely no good seafood restuarants in TR! Maybe a few good Italian resturants with seafood.

Forgot, for the poll add the choice of "none"

My choice for the best seafood restaurant in Toms River is the grill in my backyard, or the frying pan in my kitchen.
Lori Ann August 02, 2012 at 03:20 AM
Just wondering if you have ever tried Gregory's or Pisces or are just complaining as usual? Bum Rogers do not like. Went there once, son wanted a baked potato with meal and they brought out 5 potatoes before he got one that was not rotted all the way through and that was just one of the problems. Don't know how Rivoli's could be best of anything. Not a fan.

Pisces is good but too overpriced for what you get!!!

Good fish is not cheap anywhere.

"There aren't any good restaurants in Toms River, at all." You know, I get THAT a lot! There are some that are decent, but NONE that I would label as good. It's a shame, when you think about it, too. I mean, THIS is a tourist area. It's a destination for travelers from around the globe. At the Toms River Park & Ride, recently, I met people from Italy, and from Kazachstan (formerly the U.S.S.R.). If they had asked me to recommend a good restaurant, I would've been stumped!!

Umm Bum Rogers isnt even in Toms River and who would eat there anyhow since they have failed their health inspection like 3 times in the last year or so...
Barry Fleckmann August 09, 2012 at 04:20 PM
"...Bum Rogers...failed their health inspection like 3 times in the last year or so." That doesn't surprise me, as Jerry Rotunda, formerly the General Manager at Boston's, is now rumored to be working, there. When you shake hands with Jerry, be sure to count your fingers, afterwards!!
