Stone Harbor Beaches and Shopping District Open to Business

Natural, peaceful coastline

Boasting small town charm, as well as a quaint shopping district and great restaurants - as well as the town's annual seasfood festival - Stone Harbor is a popular beach destination during the summer season.

Stone Harbor shares Seven Mile Island with bigger brother Avalon, and beach tags can be used in both towns.

Beach fees: seasonal before May 31st - $21; after May 31st - $26; weekly $12, daily $6

Lifeguard hours: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Handicap access: 83rd, 88th, 92nd, 95th, 101st, 103rd, 105th, 111th, 114th, 119th streets; Beach to water’s edge at 95th & 119th streets.

Surfing beaches: 81st Street and 110th Street

Public boat ramps: 81st and Bay

Fishing piers: 83rd and Bay

Tennis courts: 82nd Street and 96th Street

Skateboard parks: 82nd Street

Dogs: Dogs are allowed on the beach throughout the season from 7 p.m. to sunset. 

Beach tags are good in Stone Harbor and Avalon.
