Water Utility's Consumer Confidence Report Available Online

United Water Toms River report also available through print

United Water announced this week that the company’s annual Consumer Confidence Report is available online for Toms River customers to view.

The report details the quality of drinking water provided to customers during 2012, according to a news release.

"We’re pleased to advise our customers that our water continues to meet or exceed all state and federal regulations for safe drinking water," said Operations Director Jim Mastrokalos, in a statement.  "The report is required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. We believe this CCR is an important tool in educating our customers about the excellent quality of their tap water."

The EPA announced earlier this year that the CCR may be delivered electronically to customers via a direct URL address, according to United Water.

"In today’s digital age, this new delivery method is not only more cost efficient and eco-friendly, but also supports our commitment to environmental stewardship," Mastrokalos said in the news release.

Customers will be mailed a postcard with a web address that will take them directly to their specific water quality report.

Printed copies of the report are also available by calling the utility's CCR Hotline at 855-841-9572. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to the utility. Copies of the report are also available at libraries and municipal offices.
