Wildwood Shore Destination Spared and Open

Known for its long, wide boardwalk and many amusements

Wildwood is one of New Jersey's most popular shore destinations for families with its huge - and free - beaches, its long, wide boardwalk - as well as its famous tram cars - and its unparalleled amusements, including Morey's Piers.

Sharing a barrier island with four other towns, Wildwood stands out as the most popular for tourism, its population inflating to as high as 250,000 during the summer months.

Wildwood makes family fun a priority and entices visitors to enjoy the boardwalk, salt water taffy and other shore treats, with its free beaches.

Wildwood, thanks in part to its receding beaches, did not suffer significant flood damage during Hurricane Sandy and has declared itself ready for the season with marketing and other efforts, including participation in internet memes.

It has a free beach and the lifeguard hours are 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
