Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center Holds Discussion on Prescription Medication

Lunch & Learn: What’s in Your Medicine Cabinet?

Monday, April 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Are you unwittingly contributing to the heroin epidemic in Ocean County? Learn how to safely store and dispose of your prescription medicine. Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention, in partnership with the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center and the Ocean County DART Coalition, will offer a lunch and learn at the Center for Healthy Living located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood to share ways you can protect your grandchildren, family and friends from the epidemic of prescription drug abuse. The Lakewood Police Department will be on hand to collect old, unused or expired prescription medication for proper disposal. The program is free, but registration is required by calling the Health Coach Peggy Lomerson at 732-575-0452.
