Ocean County Mall invites Toms River-area kids and parents to celebrate the holiday season with Santa at Simon Kidgits Club’s® annual holiday celebration, taking place this Saturday, December 8, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  in Center Court. Radio Disney will co-host the event.

In addition to providing children a magical photo opportunity with Santa every day through December 24, Ocean County Mall will offer kids the chance to get festive with holiday crafts, including decorating their own ornament to bring home for the tree, and to enjoy an array of yummy holiday treats.

As part of the event, Ocean County Mall also will hold a holiday toy drive to benefit children in the area, including those whose families were affected by superstorm Sandy. Those who would like to join in this effort are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys or children’s clothing to donate. Everything will go to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

“Years of holiday memories have been made at Ocean County Mall, and for the past decade the Simon Kidgits Club has been an important vehicle to trigger those warm feelings in children and their families,” said Tara Melodick, director of marketing and business development at Ocean County Mall. “This year will be no different.”

The Simon Kidgits Club is a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3-8. Since 2003, the Simon Kidgits Club has kept children and parents alike amused with various events and activities while providing incentives for club members, such as special offers, rewards and games.
