Soroptimist 11th Annual Women's Hall of Fame

Join us when Soroptimist International of Toms River area (SI-Toms River), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and advancement of women and girls, hosts its 11th annual Ocean County Women’s Hall of Fame Dinner and gift auction on October 16, 2014, 5:30 PM at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 815 Route 37 West, Toms River NJ 08755.

“Our organization, in partnership with Ocean County College, has been inducting prominent successful women, businesses and organizations of Ocean County into the Ocean County Women’s Hall of Fame for their many accomplishments and contributions.” said Sue Sedivic, Hall of Fame Co-Chair and President of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ocean County.

This year’s honorees include some of the most distinguished and successful women in Ocean County.  The “2014 Woman of Distinction” is Nancy Weber-Loeffert; Caregiver Volunteers of Central NJ and Interfaith Health & Support Services of Southern Ocean County, is the “2014; Making a Difference for Women” awardee and the “2014 Advancing the Status of Women” awardee is Patricia Leahey.

SI-Toms River is a service organization dependent upon donations and grants.  We offer professional women a unique
opportunity to be involved in meaningful community, regional, national and international service projects.  Proceeds
from this event will be used to support a variety of humanitarian programs for Ocean County residents, including SI-Toms River’s Adopt A Village Teen Mentoring and Domestic Violence projects, and scholarships to students at Ocean
County College, Georgian Court University, Ocean County Vocational Technical School, and local high schools.

“Our primary goal is to build and increase the successful programs and opportunities that we offer to benefit the community We hope to continue partnering with and assisting Ocean County charitable organizations, such as
Providence House, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Dottie’s House, Displaced Homemakers of Ocean County, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Ocean’s Harbor House, Monmouth Ocean Health Alliance, FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties,
