USS Challenger Intergalactic Food Festival POSTPONED UNTIL APRIL 6

The USS Challenger, the shore area chapter of Starfleet: The International Star Trek/Science Fiction Fan Association will once again host its Intergalactic Food Festival postponed from March 2 (due to expected inclement weather).

This free event concerns Star Trek/Science Fiction fans coming together for a gathering involving food and beverages named after dishes seen in Star Trek and other science fiction programs like Doctor Who, Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica. These are dishes such as Klingon Gaggh (made of pudding and gummy worms) or Betazoid Brownies.

Members of the club and neighboring Starfleet chapters of NJ will be in uniforms from Star Trek or in costumes from other science fiction shows.

This is a family friendly event. While beverages with the names of Saurian Brandy, Romulan Ale and Klingon Blood Wine may be served, there will be no actual alcohol served. These beverages could actually be Gatorade, Blue Mountain soda and Cranberry juice.

The event will start at 1 pm and will end around 6 pm.  The public is encouraged to come out and participate. Costumes or Star Trek is attire is not required. This is an open house for the USS Challenger which meets each first Sunday of the month at 1 pm at the Seaside Heights Community Center.
