Dr. Chagares, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, studied for his undergrad at Georgetown University. He went on to medical school and received his M.D. at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then went to Monmouth Medical Center for his general surgery residency and now serves as the assistant program director for general surgery residency. Dr. Chagares has been in practice for 17 years. He has tailored his practice to hernias, gallbladders, all breast procedures, breast cancer, skin cancer, and skin/soft tissue masses. He is affiliated with Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ and is an on staff physician at the Jacqueline Wilentz Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. He also is affiliated with Care One at King James in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
NJ Monthly named Dr. Chagares Top Doctor for 2011, 2012, and 2013.

He will discuss the importance of annual screenings and answer 
questions on any health issue presented by attendees.
