Study: Toms River 7th Best Place in N.J. for Young Families

A study conducted by consumer advocacy website NerdWallet found Toms River to be the seventh-best town in New Jersey in which to raise a family.

The group analyzed national and statewide data to determine the best places in New Jersey for raising a family, and used factors such as public school ratings, median home value, ongoing cost of home ownership, median income and economic growth to make its determinations.

Toms River was the only Ocean County municipality on the list, as well as the only town in the Shore area to make the cut. The best place to raise a family, according to the study, was Sayreville.
