One Year After Hurricane Sandy, Still Some Cleaning Up To Do

The Toms River Clean Communities wants people to join the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to clean a local marshy area at the end of Thistle Avenue off Fischer Blvd. in Toms River. 

Volunteers are needed for this cleanup - especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Toms River officials are asking people to "please join the volunteers all over the world who will be participating in similar cleanups. This is a very good opportunity to show your support for our local environment." 

All supplies will be provided. Dress accordingly, officials say – some areas are wetlands.
