O.C. Library Seeking Employers for Young Adult Job Fairs

Ocean County Library is seeking employers to participate in a Summer Job Fair for Young Adults scheduled for Wed., May 9th. The event is free.

The is seeking employers to participate in a Summer Job Fair for Young Adults scheduled for Wednesday, May 9.

The library will once again offer employers and young job seekers the opportunity to connect at the second annual Summer Job Fair for Young Adults. The event is free for employers to reserve a table and free for job seekers to attend.

The Summer Job Fair for Young Adults will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mancini Hall, Ocean County Library, Toms River branch, 101 Washington St., Toms River.

In 2011, the Summer Job Fair for Young Adults attracted more than 12 employers and an estimated 300 young adult job seekers.

The Ocean County Library is seeking employers in categories such as retail, food service, entertainment, healthcare, hospitality, clerical support and technology. We encourage local businesses to participate. Your participation in our event will grant your visibility as a supportive community partner to our schools and library system.

The Ocean County Library is dedicated to providing our residents with life and job skills and this Job Fair concludes a special “Job Fair Workshop Series” that was held this Spring that prepared our young adults for the job process. The 2nd Summer Job Fair for Young Adults is a partnership between Ocean County Library and NJ Dept. of Labor & Workforce Development.

Employers interested in participating are asked to contact Katie Fernandez or Jeanne Collacott at 732-349-6200 ext. 5203. There is no cost to reserve a table.

Job seekers planning to attend are encouraged to register at theoceancountylibrary.org. All attendees are reminded to dress appropriately for a job interview and to bring a smile with a pen, your social security number and plenty of resumes.
