New Found Love for Consigning at Local Boutique

I recently moved to the Toms River area and decided that it was time pass along some of my belongings that were becoming permanent fixtures in my closet.  Since most of these items were designer brands, I didn’t want to just throw them away or sell them for far below value at a flea market.

Then the idea of consigning popped into my head. I remembered passing a new consignment shop on my many travels down Route 37 and decided to give it a try. I called and spoke to the owner of Déjà Vu Consignment who explained how opening a consignment account worked in her store. I was quite pleased to hear that there was no fee to setup an account so I decided to gather my handbags and accessories and bring them in.

The owner who was outside when I arrived to the store greeted me immediately. I walked in and was amazed by all of the nice merchandise on display. The store is setup like a boutique and the racks were not overwhelmingly filled. I spotted tons of brand names including Michael Kors, Coach, Juicy Couture, Vera Bradley, and so on.

Setting up my consigning account was a breeze. After sorting through the merchandise I brought in, I left with confidence that I was making the right decision to sell my things this way.  I received an e-mail shortly after I arrived back home with the list of items I brought in and the amounts that each item would be priced at.

If you have quality designer clothing, handbags, accessories, etc. that are not in use I highly recommend consigning them with Déjà Vu Consignment. The consignment account is free and you will receive 50% of the sale when your item is purchased. Not to mention, your items get posted on their Facebook fan page for extra exposure.  You can either take your earnings in cash or use it as store credit to purchase new items for your wardrobe and accessory collection.
