The Power of the Presidency on Civil Rights

Monday, Oct. 15, 6:30pm
Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library

With the stroke of a pen, the President has the power to change the social
fabric of our society and alter the lives of individual citizens in a very
profound way. Join us to hear the distinguished Dr. Clement A. Price, a member
of the Scholarly Advisory Committee of the Smithsonian Institution's National
Musem of African American History and Culture, provide and analysis of the
presidential actions that have had an impact on Civil rights in
America.  Please register for this program by calling 732-349-6200.

Presented in partnership with the Friends of the Toms
River LIbrary, the Ocean County Human Relations Commission, the Ocean County
College, Jersey Shore PFLAG and the Toms River NAACP. This seminar was made
possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities a state
partner in the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings,
conclusion or recommendations in this webinar do not necessarily represent those
