Holidays not only can cause stress for adults, but children as well. Overloading children with activities can be a source of stress for both of you.
Reduce stress by keeping your child’s schedule as normal as possible. Consistent bedtime routines and nutritious meals can help offset a busy day. Allow your child time to engage in safe child driven creative play activities and limit computer and video games. Remembering the time you spent as a child using your imagination building castles, making mud pies, playing dress up or playing with cars and trains and providing this opportunity for your child can be a treasured gift.
