Adler Criticizes 'Millionaires Tax Break'

Letter from candidate Shelley Adler

Statement as submitted by , Candidate for House of Representatives:

It is clear that Rep. Jon Runyan is siding with millionaires, billionaires and the powerful special interests in Washington at the expense of middle class families struggling to make ends meet.

Rep. Runyan voted to triple tax breaks for the "average millionaire" and they would receive an extra quarter-million dollars a year.  Where is the tax break for middle class families?

It is bad enough that he provided Big Oil with 40 billion dollars in taxpayer-funded subsidies, but to spend trillions of dollars to give the wealthiest Americans massive tax breaks when instead middle class families could have been provided much needed relief is just wrong.

The middle class needs relief and Rep. Runyan has proven that he is not on their side.

Shelley Adler

Candidate for Congress (NJ-03)

For a party that prides itself on fairness, they sure love villifying the upper class. Not saying it's right that only millionaires/billionaires get tax breaks, but how about tax breaks for all or none? That sounds fair to me. I've yet to hear that, though.

IF someone worked hard to get where they are ( millionaies/ billionaires) while they should be responsable for paying the same % As everyone else, HOWEVER.... IF they worked hard & & made their money why should they HAVE to " share their piece of pie" to someone that never worked a hard days work in their lives??? While Iam Middle class & Sick of "US" never getting a break.... I can see the view that its not up to everyone else to take care of "you" & wait for someone else to pay your way.... GET A JOB, PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE, & STOP TAKING FROM EVERYONE ELSE!!!

Same old Repub-Tea Party talking points: The trillions for the rich might someday, somehow, trickle down to the other 99% of Americans. Yeah, right. Trump and Mitt get a few mill apiece and us "little people" get a few hundred bucks. Kill Medicare and spend the money on Exxon tax breaks and Bain's outsourced jobs once held by Americans.
