Letter: Adler Deserves Support for Denouncing Akin Comments

Resident says Runyan should denounce comments from Republican Akin

Letter to the editor as submitted by Toms River resident Jason Sansone:

I am writing to express my support for Shelley Adler in the 3rd district and to express my outrage that Representative Jon Runyan has not publicly denounced fellow House Republican Todd Akin over his seriously misguided medical information and abhorrent choice of words regarding "questions of legitimate rape."

Jon Runyan and the GOP's war on women's rights needs to end and Shelley Adler is just the woman to do it!

Sincerely,

Jason Sansone

The only people still denouncing this creep are those who are trying to get more publicity for themselves. The best course is to vote the jerk away and let him live out his pathetic life in obscurity.

Get over it ray. Shelly is a wasted vote. VOTE FOR JON RUNYUN.

This alone is no reason to choose a candidate. He or she didn't say the controversial speech, do they really shouldn't benefit from denouncing it. This type of phantom issue is what perpetuates the status quo and solidifies the malaise. View about giving me a real reason to view for the candidate, debt reduction, ending wars, easing unemployment or something meaningful.

HAHAHAHA......Adler never would have opened her trap , if he was a democRAT

Pretty pathetic, get elected on the real issues not those spun by others. She really has no business running, except to ride the coat-tails of her late husband, which in itself is sad thing to do. No experience, like Obama, no solutions for our issues, nothing, absolutely nothing.

I second the commendation of Mrs Adler. It means lot to me and the women of Nj that she has the courage to speak out against the ignorance of Akin. Deb M.

Any woman voting solely on this issue is as stupid as the Democrats think women are. If you care at all about future generations, keep as many Democrats away from Washington, DC as possible.

I agree! Let's vote for people who piggyback on non-issues at the national level and ignore the local issues. This was probably written by some libtard huffpatcher employee.

Well said Maggie....Adler is just trying to make waves to de-tract from the real issues. Voting for Adler is a wasted vote. Let's allow JON RUNYON to continue all the wonderful work he's done. In this election we need to clean house and get rid of Obama and all his democRAT cohorts.

That attitude toward women is not a non-issue. It is a HUGE issue. Yes, we need to be mindful of the economics, foreign policy, conservation, immigration policy, etc. but we women are more than half the population and Akins remarks demean all women. The lack of understanding of basic biology and the trauma of sexual abuse is deplorable. Shame on the GOP!!!

Hector, I have been following you for some time. Glad you aren't one of our supporters. Keep up the good work. June, ignore the troll...nothing to see here.

You want to see shame on the GOP? Look who's hosting the GOP meeting on Oyster Creek in Lacey....BIRDSALL ENGINEERING. I couldn't believe it when I received the invitation. Search "Birdsall", "Campaign", "Investigation", and "Subpoena". LACEY just spent $ 28,000 taxpayer dollars with Birdsall on a "feasibility study" for a new power plant, that the Twp. would have no financial interest in, other than permit fees. Want to know where it went? Tally up the contributions from Birdsall employees to the incumbents. Who's in YOUR wallet? "Stand for what's right, or settle for what's left." Sadly, June, Ms. Adler's entire campaign has degenerated into a "Jon Runyan sucks" fest. It's like watching Greg and Marsha Brady run for student body president. Want real change? Find out what we're about. Fred

Runyon's Old Lady ROBO Telephone caller forgets that Republican Ryan also cuts 700 Billion from Medicare. However Ryan forces seniors to USE VOUCHERS FOR MEDICARE. AND Runyon wants to take away $600/yr Senior Medicine rebate which they currently receive.
