Why did we really release the taliban 5

Some are speculating that Bowe Bergdahl was released because Obama wanted to give these 5 prisoners to the Taliban as some sort of goodwill offering in the hopes of getting something back from the Taliban - other than Bowe Bergdahl. It turns out there is some evidence to support this.
