We asked the National Weather Service, the Old Farmer's Almanac, and our Magic Eight Ball. The forecast is mixed.

The Old Farmer's Almanac predicted snow from Jan. 20 to 24 and even warns of a blizzard on Jan. 30 to 31. The good book's exact forecast for Toms River: "Jan 20-24: Rain to snow, then sunny, cold; Jan 25-29: Rain and snow north; sunny, mild south; Jan 30-31: Blizzard."

The National Weather Service says snow is possible Thursday and Sunday. Here's the scoop: "Thursday: A chance of snow before 8am, then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent...Sunday: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent."

Our Magic Eight Ball? "Outlook not so good," it answered. Hmm, what does that even mean! So cryptic.

We'll chalk that up to two yes votes. How about you, do you think it will snow this week in Toms River?
