$20K In Jewelry Stolen From Car in Toms River

Police seeking help identifying man in surveillance video

Toms River police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who removed over $20,000 in jewelry from a vehicle that was parked behind a business on Water Street recently.

In the Oct. 25 theft, a white male, around 5-foot-10 in height, was observed on video going into the vehicle and removing a case with the jewelry, said Chief Michael Mastronardy.

The victim a Toms River resident in the jewelry business, Mastronardy said.

Removed from the vehicle in the case were loose diamonds,  a woman’s 14k watch,  a tennis bracelet, diamond stud earrings and various white and yellow gold chains.
