Abundant Grace Church Burglarized, Robbed of Cash Register

Church on Route 571 robbed, surveillance image released

Toms River Police announced today that the Abundant Grace Church, Route 571, was robbed Oct. 29 of its cash register by a burglar caught on surveillance cameras.

Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the surveillance video shows a man entering the church and removing the church's cash register. How much cash was in the register was not released.

The man is described as a white male, with a goatee, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and gloves. The register is a Casio brand.

Police are encouraging anyone with information to call police headquarters and have released a video of the burglary in hopes of furthering the investigation.

The 18-second video focuses on an office area in the church, with a man with short hair pulling off his hood and stepping around the room.

Investigating are Toms River Police Officer Frank Moschella, Josh Pedalino and Detective Marc Bajada.  Anyone with information can contact Detective Mark Bajada at 732-349-0150 ext. 1241

Way to go Steve Domanski! First one to just up and guess that the TRPD has been doing nothing since 10/29...hmm..i wonder if they've been busy with the hurricane? I wonder if this was distributed among their Officers first, with hopes of identifying the suspect, and once he could not, they released it to the public. I'm sure that their investigation tactics are not as follows a) take a report b) get surveillance footage c) release footage to the public. Good job Steve Domanski!

I remember hearing about this when it happened, but if you recall, we did happen to have a major storm by the name of Sandy on the same day. Do you think that maybe that is why it took so long? Most people didn't even have power for an average of two weeks. There were a few more important things going on in the area after Sandy. Instead of being critical, think before you write. TRPD does a very good job. This guy will be caught.

Your an idiot, if you hate TRPD so much why don't you walk into the police station and tell them that in person, I happen to think that they do a great job.

1 storm was brewing, police were getting ready 2 storm hit people had to be saved from there houses 3 no power,so police had to be at intersections to control traffic, since no one believes in a 4 way stop. 4 someone breaks into a empty church while storm is going on and steels a safe,no one there to get hurt. Do you really want to move number 4 to 1 Dope

Steve, you sound like a delusional, deranged psycho in some narcotic induced craze. You're not even making sense. Find something else to do besides sit on patch.com and spew hatred and nonsense.

I hope you're not allowed to drive. Whatever you're on clearly inhibits your ability to think and reason.

How about some hints to the robbers identity now that we all can see his face. Stick to the point all.
