Beachwood Man Arrested on Heroin Charges After Falling Asleep in Taco Bell Bathroom

Toms River police arrested a Beachwood man for possession of about 50 wax folds of heroin plus a hypodermic syringe after finding him asleep in a Taco Bell bathroom.

Anthony Krempel, 26, is now being lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Police were called to the Taco Bell located at 1402 Route 37 for a person locked in the bathroom, police spokesman Ralph Stocco said.

Upon arrival the door was locked and the occupant did not respond to requests to open the door, Stocco said. Officers forced their way in to the restroom and located Krempel passed out on the toilet.

Krempel was revived by emergency medical personnel and it was determined that no further medical treatment was needed, Stocco said. An investigation, he said, led to the discovery of 50 wax folds of suspected heroin and a hypodermic syringe.
