Boat, Air Compressor Thefts Under Investigation

24-foot boat reported stolen from Estate Point Road

Toms River police are investigating two recent thefts, including a boat taken from an Estate Point Road dock.

The vessel, described by Chief of Police Michael Mastronardy as a 2010 blue and white 24-foot Yamaha jet boat, was taken from the home’s dock sometime this week.

Officer John Mehl is investigating the theft, Mastronardy said.

Police also are investigating the theft of an A.O. Smith air compressor valued at $2,000 from the 1820 Hooper Ave. Luke Oil gas station at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, the chief said.

Officer Samantha Sutter is investigating the theft, according to Mastronardy.

The compressor was bolted into concrete and contained in a steel case at the time of the theft, the chief said.

No suspects were identified by police in either incident. Anyone with information can call the department at 732-349-0150.
