Police: Have You Seen This Robbery Suspect?

Local authorities needs help in identifying a potential bank robber who attempted to hold up the Santander Bank on Beaverson Boulevard on Friday. 

Brick police also asked to "pay particular attention to the subject’s hat and the plastic bag that he is holding."

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Friday evening, officers were dispatched to the Santander Bank, once known as the Sovereign Bank, at 17 Beaverson Blvd. for a report of a bank robbery.

Investigators identified a potential male suspect, described as being a white or hispanic male, approximiately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 145 to 165 pounds.

He was also wearing a black and blue checkered hat, jeans, sneakers, a stocking over his face, and a dark khaki colored jacket or zippered sweatshirt with a hood.

When he entered the bank, he approached the teller and demanded money. No weapon was observed, police said.

The subject was carrying a dark purple or eggplant colored plastic bag, which may be the type of bag used at a particular store, police said.

The subject left the bank and fled on foot westbound on Beaverson Boulevard.

The Brick Township Police Detective Bureau, the Brick Township Police Criminal Investigation Unit, and the Brick Township Police K-9 Unit responded to assist with the investigation.
