Burglary Interrupted In Squire Village

Suspect escapes with no proceeds

A Squire Village resident apparently interrupted a home burglary when she arrived home at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Upon returning to her Dorchester Drive home, a 30-year-old female observed a male suspect run down the stairs of the two-story home and out the rear door, according to a police report from Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

Upon further investigation, police officers discovered the suspect had disabled the backyard lighting then forced entry into the back of the home.
