A 42-year-old Manchester Township woman had her purse stolen from her vehicle 8:30 Thursday night while it was parked at the Verizon store on Route 37, according to a written release issued by Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.
Officer George Fernicola found that the suspect broke out the rear window and took a purse that contained Oakley glasses and about $100. Fernicola is the investigating officer.
In what is believed to be a related theft also Thursday night, a driver’s side window was smashed out of a vehicle parked in the rear lot of the Marquee Cinema on Route 37, Mastronardy said.

A 47-year-old Manchester Township woman had a duffle bag with $80 worth of clothing removed as a result of the theft. Officer Richard Buhowski is the investigating officer.
