Cigarettes, Lotto Tickets Stolen From Fischer Blvd. Gas Station

Thousands of lottery tickets among items stolen

The owner of the Fischer Boulevard Shell station reported to police Tuesday that 60 cartons of cigarettes were stolen and 3000 lottery tickets along with cash from the cash register, Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said.

At 4 a.m. police responded to an alarm at the gas station, Mastronardy said, and found that an unknown suspect or suspects used a large brick to smash out the front door.

Two packs of Marlboro Gold cigarettes, believed to proceeds of the burglary, were recovered by investigating officers in the street on Audubon Drive, Mastronardy said.

Officers Jesse Robertazzi , Dan Sysol and Anthony Scali are investigating.
