Collision Backing Up Traffic on Routes 9 and 571 In All Directions

Traffic is backed up in all directions at Routes 9 and 571, as emergency responders work to clear an accident in the middle of the major intersection after 3 p.m. today.

A Hummer H2 and Ford pick-up truck reportedly collided and are disabled in the center of the intersection.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area as traffic both east and west on Route 571 and north and south on Route 9 is effected and the intersection remains blocked by the emergency response.
