Comcast Cable Services Back Up Following Outage Due To Accident

Comcast equipment damaged

Service should be restored to Comcast customers that experienced an outage due to the accident at Oak Ridge Parkway and Cadillac Drive Saturday morning, a Comcast spokesperson said.

A utility pole was struck in the traffic accident, damaging Comcast equipment attached to the pole and affecting service for a small number of customers in the immediate area, according to Alisha Martin, Comcast spokesperson.

"Comcast technicians were immediately alerted to the issue through our internal monitoring systems and were promptly on scene to begin coordinating with the power company, assessing the situation and safely repairing the damage," said Martin. "Service should now be restored for our customers, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."
