Cops: Silver Ridge Homes Targeted in Burglaries

Homes burglarized, UPS packages stolen, police say

Toms River police are investigating burglaries and thefts in the Silver Ridge neighborhood.

Two residential burglaries in the section occurred Dec. 13, according to Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

Entry was made thru a rear sliding glass door on a home on Cory Drive Friday evening where suspects removed a strong box, two Apple MacBook laptops – one white and one silver – and some jewelry, according to the chief.

Township police are also looking into the thefts of several UPS packages left in the neighborhood.

Unknown suspects removed a UPS package with $29 worth of vitamins from a home on Kim Court, said Mastronardy.  Another package was removed from a porch on Cory Drive, and officers recovered a $36 toy nearby that was returned to the homeowner.
