Toms River Court Blotter: Indictments for Thefts, Assault
Recent indictments handed up by Ocean County grand juries:
- Jennifer L. Bennett of Flagtown (Somerset County), on a count of third-degree aggravated assault, for allegedly causing bodily injury to Seaside Heights Patrolman Erik Hershey while he was on duty on June 1 in Seaside Heights. She was released on $1,000 bail, no 10 percent, on June 2.
- Marc C. Lockwood of Toms River, on one count of third-degree burglary and one county of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, oxycodone, on April 1 in Toms River. He was released on $35,000 bail, no 10 percent, on April 2.
- Kara E. Pabers of Whiting, on two counts of shoplifting, one third degree, one fourth degree, on May 4 in Toms River, for allegedly taking more than $500 in clothing and household goods from Sears and more than $200 in shoes and perfume from Macy's. She was released on her own recognizance on May 4.
- Gary W. Warford of Lambertville, on a count of fourth-degree shoplifting, for allegedly taking more than $200 worth of items from West Marine in Toms River on April 13. Warford was released on a summons.
- Monette Deo of Gaithersburg, Md., on a count of unlawful taking of a means of conveyance, for allegedly taking the 1995 Toyota Camry of Patrick Deo, on Oct. 11 in Toms River. She was released on a summons.
