Court Blotter: Indictments for Theft, Drug Arrests

Grand juries handed up the following indictments recently

Ocean County grand juries filed the following indictments recently, according to court records:

A Toms River man is facing an attempted burglary charge for trying to break into a woman’s home on Lighthouse Drive, according to an indictment returned by an Ocean County grand jury.

  • Cory J. Oremus, 35, of Holly Tree Lane, is accused of attempting to break into the house on May 24. He is being held in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
  • Errin M. Verde, 38, of Bordentown, for going into hiding to avoid parole supervision May 12 in Toms River.
  • Victoria E. Hopson, 33, of Route 37 East, Toms River, for having alprazolam Jan. 1 in Stafford Township.
  • Sherry M. Ludlow, 43, of Philadelphia, for using a forged prescription April 11 in Toms River to try to get oxycodone and penicillin by fraud from a CVS Pharmacy.
  • Nicholas E. Izzo, 31, of Shell Street, Beachwood, for dealing in a woman’s stolen jewelry Jan. 16 in Berkeley Township.
  • Daniel R. Foster, 24, of Wells Mills Road, Waretown, for getting oxhycodone by fraud Aug. 21, Sept. 1, and Sept. 10, 2010 in Lacey, and on Oct. 6, 2010 in Beachwood. Co-defendant Jamie L. Berkoben, 25, of Navy Lane, Manahawkin, is accused of getting the drug by fraud on Sept. 3, 2010 in Lacey.
