Disabled Boat in Trees Along Parkway Northbound

Truck towing it spun out onto shoulder. No traffic impact at this time.

A boat is disabled on the grass shoulder of the Garden State Parkway northbound near exit 82, where a truck towing it spun out shortly before 1 p.m. this afternoon.

The center-console-style, recreational fishing boat landed in the treeline after dislocating from the truck towing it, coming to rest on the trees along the shoulder of the parkway.

No debris from the incident is blocking the parkway and traffic is moving freely as emergency responders and state police arrived around 1:09 p.m. to investigate the accident.

The boat had visible damage, with denting in its side, while the truck came to a stop after spinning onto the shoulder.
