Warrants from South Toms River, Elsewhere Land Man On Megan's Law List In Jail

A 43-year-old man on the Megan's Law list was arrested this week on the strength eight different warrants from throughout the state - including one from Brick, police said.

One for Samuel Milligan of Berkeley was from Ocean County with a bail total of $1,500 for failure to register in accordance with the provisions of Megan’s Law, police said.

In addition, Milligan also had six other outstanding municipal warrants. These included two from Brick Township for $1,010 and $250.00, one from Beachwood for $814.00, and another from South Toms River for $274.00.

The other warrants were from Crandford for $250.00 and two from Mt. Holly for $1,000 and $500.00.

On Dec. 6 at 5:18 p.m., Milligan was arrested by Berkeley police and transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.  Ptl. Edward Hendrickson and Ptl.  Michael O’Connor were the arresting officers.

Why is South Toms River the only town mentioned in the headline? This man was NOT arrested in STR but Berkley. I live in STR and find this unfair to pin only my town to your news headline! Theresa Ross 34 yr resident of South Toms River

@Theresa - if you go on the Brick Patch they are running the same story and indicate that one of the warrants was from Brick. Seems like the Patch is spreading this story on all the individual "patch sites'" where this guy had a warrant.. I guess there was not much goin on and they had to fill space with something...

They're seriously reporting warrant arrests now?? This isn't even a significant number or high dollar amount...must be a slow day for amateur journalists.
