Eleven people, including eight Toms River residents and one from Brick, were arrested this week on several drug charges, including maintaining a drug manufacturing facility, according to Toms River Police.
A month-long investigation resulted in the arrests taking place on Thursday, Feb. 21, on the 500 block of Fischer Boulevard and the 3100 block of Oceanic Drive in Toms River, police said.
Over two and a half ounces of raw heroin with an estimated street value of about $50,000 was seized at the Oceanic Drive location, according to police. Manufacturing and packaging equipment, a variety of prescription medications including suboxone and oxycodone, and $1,500 in American money was also seized, police said.
Those arrested included:
Taquan Pearson, 31, of Fischer Boulevard, Toms River, was charged with possession of over a half ounce of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute over a half ounce of heroin and maintaining a drug manufacturing facility. Bail was set by Judge Hodgson $250,000.00 cash only;
Jason Vehock, 35, of Oceanic Drive, Toms River, was charged with possession of over a half ounce of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute over a half ounce of heroin and maintaining a drug manufacturing facility. Bail was set by Judge Hodgson $250,000.00 cash only;
Helene Coyle, 23, of Princeton Avenue, Brick, was charged with possession of over a half ounce of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute over a half ounce of heroin and maintaining a drug manufacturing facility. Bail was set by Judge Hodgson $250,000.00 cash only;
Ira Jackson, 47, of Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, was charged with possession of over a half ounce of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute over a half ounce of heroin and maintaining a drug manufacturing facility. Bail was set by Judge Hodgson $250,000.00 cash only;
Donna Salek, 49, of Chadwick Avenue, Toms River, was charged with possession of heroin;
Luigi Olivieri, 43, of Twin Oaks Drive, Toms River, was charged with possession of heroin;
Joseph Duckworth, 46, of Lloyd Road, Toms River, was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia;
Russell Wickkiser, 37, of Oceanic Road, Toms River, was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia;
Alyssa Lachappelle, 24, of Magnolia Avenue, New Egypt, was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of stolen property;
Joseph Beaton, 33, of Fischer Boulevard, Toms River, was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe; and
Aryn Montague, 23, of Fischer Boulevard, Toms River, charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe.
The raids were executed by the Toms River Police Departments Emergency Services Unit (E.S.U.) commanded by Lieutenant Thomas Laffan with assistance from the departments Patrol Division and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Special Operations Group. .
