Police: 'Fatigued' Toms River Driver Hits Pole, But Isn't Injured

An township man was not injured when he became "fatigued" a block from his home and struck a utility pole, Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said.

Anthony Parisi Jr., 18, was driving his Jeep on Mapletree Road at 4:30 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, toppling it, Mastronardy said.

Parisi – the only occupant of the vehicle – was not injured, though the road was closed for about an hour.
