Crews responded to the blaze at 4 a.m. Tuesday

A Holiday City home received "extensive" damage in an early morning fire Tuesday, police said.

Crews from the Silverton and Pleasant Plains fire companies responded to the 2330 Yorktown Boulevard residence, which had recently been renovated and was vacant, at 4 a.m. Tuesday, said Toms River Chief of Police Michael Mastronardy.
