Fire Companies Respond to Early Morning Car Fire

Car found ablaze in Winteringham Village parking just before 3 a.m. Saturday morning

According to Toms River Fire Company 1 Chief John Gonzalez, response crews from both Toms River Fire Companies 1 and 2 responded to a “fully-involved” vehicle fire in a rear parking lot of Winteringham Village, a residential apartment community off Route 166, early Saturday morning at approximately 2:50 a.m.

“Upon arrival the vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames.  Firefighters from Companies 1 & 2 were on scene for approximately 30 minutes extinguishing the blaze,” said Gonzalez. 

The chief added that the cause of the fire is unknown at this time and there were no injuries reported in the blaze.
