UPDATE: Flooding On Parkway As Snow, Rain Grip Toms River

News 12
News 12
Flooding caused delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound, just south of the Toms River Toll Plaza, on Monday as Toms River and the Jersey Shore came to grips with the first snow blast of the winter.

Drivers were cautioned to reduce speed as they left the toll plaza. Much of the slush and water was gone by 9 a.m.

Toms River schools, Monsignor Donovan and St. Joseph's, meanwhile, were on a delayed opening as township officials battle icy and wet roads that led to more than 20 accident on Sunday.

Maruca - The NJ Turnpike Authority maintains the Parkway, not the town. You're credibility is getting as low as @proud the pot smoker. Wise up!

Just came from shoprite, milk and bread are gone however FEMA has a fund raising table set up to cover the costs of the next storm.
Mr. Happy December 09, 2013 at 12:30 PM
@Linda - looks like privatizing is coming to the toll roads by 2016. By then there will be near 100% EZ Pass compliance anyway, so it boils down to maintenance personnel. Probably a good move. Also, don't worry about @proud, he'll perk up once he sparks up!
proud December 09, 2013 at 01:04 PM
By 2016 Mr Lackey's Mommy should have EZ Pass for the family station wagon. More for the gin sot to sponge.
