Friday Night Power Outage Darkens Fischer Blvd.

Customers go without power for three hours around midnight

The dark of night got incredibly dark for a section of East Dover on Friday night. A power outage affecting portions of town near Fischer Boulevard and east meant hundreds of homes were without power for approximately three hours.

Around 11:45 p.m. on Friday a power outage was reported in the neighborhood of Fischer Boulevard north of Bay Avenue, and east of the main road. The power outage lasted for approximately three hours. Homes as far west as Overlook and Hazelwood roads were affected.

Temperatures that evening were in the mid 60s, after a triple-digit, record-breaking heat wave broke the day prior.
