Hooper Avenue Roadwork Planned for June 11

County roadwork includes milling and paving

Commuters on Hooper Avenue should expect traffic delays around June 11, as the county roads department plans to repair the road near Oak Avenue.

The Ocean County Roads Deparment announced the work of the major Toms River thorofare, which is also County Route 549, will begin around Monday, June 11.

The project includes milling and paving of the roadway, along the area of Oak Avenue by the Ocean County Mall.

Lane and road closures, as well as impact to the adjacent jughandles, may be part of the project, which aims to address the aging roadway's potholes and uneven pavement.

Months prior, the county milled and repaved portions of the Silverton stretch of Hooper Avenue, addressing issues near Church and Silver Bay roads.

When will OC voters learn? The freeloaders and their political appointees do whatever they want, whenever they want to.

Nobody is ever happy. They fix the road, you cry. They leave the road with potholes, you cry. They fix it during the day it's an inconvienence. They fix it at night, you cry about overtime. Shut up already.
