3 Toms River Women Indicted on Oxycodone Charges

Ocean County grand juries hand up indictments

Three Toms River women have been indicted on charges accusing them of multiple counts of acquiring oxycodone fraudulently.

An Ocean County grand jury last week upheld 27 charges against Krystin Batullo, 29, Sylvia Toscano, 50, and Jaclyn A. Lavalle, 32, all of North Gateway.

Batullo is accused of four counts of obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud for separate incidents occuring on July 9, Aug. 11, Sept. 1 and Sept. 12.

Toscano is charged with 21 counts, for separate incidents from July 1 to Sept. 16. Lavalle was charged with two counts, for incidents of alleged fraud on July 3 and Sept. 13.

All three women were released on summonses.

Grand juries also indicted:

  • Matthew F. Rebelo, 23, of Point Borough and Andrew K. White, 23, of Toms River on theft and dealing in stolen property charges.

The pair are accused of stealing a propeller worth more than $500 from a Toms River man Jan. 14 and then selling it in the township that same day.

Rebelo made $10,000 bail Feb. 22, and White was issued a summons.

  • Andie Lesko, 23, of Toms River on burglary, theft and drug charges.

Lesko is accused of burglarizing the same Brick home three times from Nov. 18 to Nov. 23 as well as stealing jewelry worth at least $500. Lesko also was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance for allegedly having alprazolam and oxycodone.

Robert Kovacs Jr., 21, was charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly taking possession of the stolen jewelry.

Both were released on a summons.

  • Brandon M. Reilly, 21, of Brick on robbery and terroristic threat charges.

Reilly is accused of using force to steal from two residents in Toms River on Sept. 15, 2010, and then threatened to kill one of the victims, the indictment states.

He was held on $100,000 bail but posted Sept. 22, 2010.

  • Arthur B. Crowl, 37, of Brick on a drug possession charge.

Crowl was arrested Oct. 14 in Toms River and accused of having clonazepam. He was released on a summons.

  • Robert J. Applegate, 39, of Lakewood on drug possession charges.

Applegate was arrested Aug. 24 and accused of having heroin and alprazolam in his possession. He was released on a summons.

  • David P. Crosby, 23, of Greenwich Court on drug possession charges.

Crosby was arrested June 12 and accused of having cocaine and alprazolam. He was initially jailed on $7,500 bail but posted June 13.

  • Michael Britton, 24, and Nicole M. Spadaccino, 25, both of Toms River.

Britton is charged with theft for allegedly stealing more than $500 in jewelry and cash from a Toms River woman on Nov. 28. Spadaccino was charged with receiving stolen property and dealing in stolen property for allegedly taking possession of the jewelry and selling it in the township.

Both were released on summonses.
